Day 2

Subject: What do you REALLY want, [firstname]?

Hi [firstname],

The hardest step in unleashing your potential and being successful is to identify what you want. I mean what you REALLY want.

Dictionary.com defines success like this:

The favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals.

In other words…

Success means getting what you want. The only trouble is: Most people have a hard time defining what it is they want. If you don't know what you want, how can you know when you've got it?

So here's some homework…

Before you get my next message tomorrow, I want you to think about the sort of life you want to be living in a few years time. Imagine that sort of life – the house you're going to live in, the car you're going to be driving, the money you're going to have in the bank; that sort of thing.

These are going to be your goals.

Concentrate on stuff that's directly under your control. Don't imagine yourself buying a winning lottery ticket (because that's purely a game of chance) or getting married to the girl/guy of your dreams (because it's likely they don't exist).

Now draw up a plan by working backwards from your goal to now. That way you know you have a plan that cannot fail – before you do this, you've gotta to that, before you do that, you've got to do something else etc.

You can also factor in a “Plan B” at the same time, because usually there's more than one route to follow to getting back to now from your destination.

It also means that if your goal is unachievable you can “fail” on paper and avoid any disappointment. Before you do this, you've gotta to that, before you do that, you've got to … Ah, problem!

See what I mean?

Once you have your goals and plan in place, you're ready to embark on the journey towards successfully achieving them.

Warmly,

[Your Name]

PS. Make getting my guide to success part of your plan, too. This link explains everything in detail: [link to sales page].
